| Since its inception, the public benefit Foundation
"Nikolas D. Pateras" has recognised the difficult and
hazardous nature of the work of the public order forces,
in carrying out their daily duties, of the highest social
service, that of safety for the citizens. The Foundation provided its support for many years, offering facilities and equipment but most significantly financial support to the bereaved families of officers who lost their lives or were seriously injured in the line of duty. The Foundation wishes to support the public order forces in their duty against crime and to ensure the safety of the citizen. One of the foremost principles of the "Nikolas D. Pateras" Foundation is to recognise the contribution of the public order forces to society and to provide its unyielding support as a psychological and moral motivation for them to carry out their objectives and duties. |
